SHOWREEL COMPILATION
A selection of videos, created for YouTube, Facebook, Reddit. Edited on Final Cut Pro X, using a variety of treatments for each project.
The intention with this showreel compilation was based around the notion of “what is an artist?”, diving into some of the film work I’ve completed to illustrate this by capturing stories through the lens of a camera.
INTERSACTIONS MEDIA – PROMO
For Intersections Media in BC, I had the pleasure of working on a promo film for a workshop that aimed to inspire and educate participants on the importance of filmmaking. As the Videographer/Producer, I was responsible for capturing footage of the workshop, interviewing participants and speakers, and putting together a final product that would showcase the highlights of the event and convey its key messages. As a Videographer and Producer, my goal is always to create compelling, engaging content that inspires and informs audiences.
STARMAN (short)
The aspiration for this piece was to create a journey for the viewer, a passage through artistic space with a goal to represent space as the ultimate embodiment of human ingenuity and innovation. All the fundamental assets were captured employing footage and David Bowie’s iconic song ‘Starman’.
BOUNDARIES
The concept was of a technological determinist society advancing at an unprecedented pace, while individuals maintained inner peace. Initial endeavour for the film was to capture inescapable and consuming impact, as-well-as the role in facilitating the beauty of nature through a simple process of walking motion.
MOVING TO THE USA
This short film is about my experience of moving to the USA, from the moment the plane left Australia to the first moment of landing to my new home. Always looking for new ways to tell stories and connect the audiences I decided to film this using only an iPhone SE. It proved to be an effective way to capture the momentous journey, sharing the travel experience.
118 ELECTRIC COMMERCIAL (short)
Have you ever taken on a challenge that pushed you to your limits and tested your skills? For me, that challenge was building an electric bike from scratch. As a student with a passion for engineering and innovation, I wanted to take on a project that would allow me to combine my love of technology and desire to create something tangible & useful.
Using my basic knowledge of circuits, electric propulsion I designed and assembled a unique and efficient mode of transportation which was destined to become a Kickstarter project. I decided to shoot a quick commercial as a student promo, highlighting the bike’s sleek design, powerful motor, and impressive speed capabilities.
